Honda Vehicle Styling Is Boring And Unappealing
Hello,
First off, I am american currently in Japan and driving an Acura (which is a standard honda here with the name Acura)
I like the reliability of Honda and am only posting to help the image if anyone listens. Honda has everything going for it except style also known as appeal. Take a survey for christ's sake, they get uglier and more bland each year, why?!
Isn't an american helping design for the North American R&D department? Fire his or her *** immediately, spen $5,000 to take a survey of 200 random people walking down a street and problem fixed.
Believe it or not Americans have different tastes than the japanese here in Japan, trust me, I can speak the language and work side by side every day with the locals. JCI and road taxes play a big part here, usually a car is traded in within 3 years and used cars are ridiculously cheap due to the JCI mandatory fees and inspections upkeep on used vehicles.
Anyhow, I digress, Honda executives, get your head out of someonesproverbial *** and develop a sense of appeal for your vehicles as far as asthetice go and you can even be better than Toyota.
Thanks for your time and by the way, a fun fact: The Japanese prefer Toyota over Honda and really prefer imports if they can afford, such as Mercedes, BMW and Audi.

Well, I see that in two years, you haven't generated a heck of a lot of responses to your post.
I happen to disagree with you to the extent that I think almost all cars have bland styling and the ones that break out of that mold are goofy looking.
So, here we are in 2013 and I think that the new Honda Accord is a very stylish car, but I guess still a little on the bland side.
This isn't the 30s, when art deco ruled the style of cars, nor are we in the 50s when every car looked like it was a jet aircraft wannabe.
But anyway, if you're still around maybe you'd like to see my new Honda Accord. Some say it looks like the last generation and when it first came out, I had trouble telling the difference, but now that it's been out awhile and I've seen plenty side-by-side, the differences, while perhaps subtle are still quite profound, yielding a much more refined vehicle.
Plus it's got more torque and it gets great gas mileage.

I think the 2013 looks sweet. So, for that and other reasons, I bought one last week.
But I have a style question. I'd like to put a moonroof visor on it (had one on my Acura Legend 20 years ago and it looked good).
Problem is, I can't find a photo of the car with one installed, except for the close-up pics that Honda puts out to market the visor.
I have poked around a bit, but cannot find a photo that pulls back enough to show the full car so I can see how the visor works with its lines. I want to see that before buying a visor and committing to DIY installation.
Can anyone here direct me to such pics?
