Keep Fit or go with Odyssey? Help

I have a 2007 Honda Fit 5-speed Sport with 72,000 miles on it and no issues at all. I love the car and did not think about ever getting rid of it until my insurance premium went up and I was told that the Fits no longer fair well in crash tests. I have two young kids and that got me thinking about the possibility of trading in the Fit for something larger and safer like an Odyssey. It would have to be a fairly even financial trade (I don't want to make payments and I don't want to put any money down) so that narrows down my search to a 2000-2004 Odyssey with at least 120,000 miles on it. I am scared to trade in my perfectly running Fit for a used car...but an Odyssey would be much more practical.

Please help me with advice follow Honda lovers!!!

thats a tuff one first off where exactly has the fit fallen short of being safe in a crash compared to other small cars exactly how could they be safe one day and not safe the next ??? if your referring to the new small overlap front crash then even full size pickup trucks fail that test. not many cars are passing this particular test even new cars.

I would say keep the fit. The only test that is being talked about A LOT of cars fail. The fit was the worst at the test but thats on the 2013+ models. The 2007 model is still a solid car.

plus i haven't seen the small overlap test done on a 01-04 odyssey will it even pass ???. as far as that test is concerned its simulating hitting a telephone pole telephone poles don't move and you have the ability as a driver to avoid static objects so maybe instead of buying a new car you can go to driving school to learn how to avoid telephone poles. im just worried for next year when the highway safety institute unveils there new honda fit verses the mcdonald's drive thru test.

2007 Fit crash rating of 5, front 5 back 3. per honda. If you can wait a bit, honda may come out with the n-wgn in 2015 bigger than the Fit, smaller than the Odyssey, sliding side doors. Has been in production in japan, and foreign countries since 2001.

Aside from crash tests

Thanks all...that clarifies the crash test results and the questions I had regarding that. The side issue though is just the simple trade...what's the better car: a 2007 Honda Fit with 72,000 miles on it or a 2004 Honda Odyssey with 111,000 miles on it?

And is $7500 a fair asking price for a 2007 Fit 5-speed sport with 72,000 miles?

plus the cost of a new timing belt, water pump, tensioner thats due at 110,000 miles on the odyssey.
