My '99 Civic came with a mostly complete "Minime" swap. Its been a bit of a hassle picking up where somebody I never met left off. I'd really like some more torque and I'd be willing to sacrifice top end for it. If I decide to pull this engine and start fresh, what engine would be a good swap fpr me? It needs to be fairly economical and not require any fab work, and still get decent mileage. Am I asking too much, or has somebody figured this out before?
