'06 hybrid accord software update

I am trying to find someone who has had the the softwareupdate done on their '06 accord hybrid vehicle to detemine if there has been any downfall to having it performed. I received a letter from honda stating that the update should be performed to help with even better gas mileage and an additionaltax break. I'm thinking that I might lose horsepower and torque if i proceed with what they (honda) wants. Please help, anybody

RE: '06 hybrid accord software update

The original PCM software for the PGM-FI system and
the A/T can be updated to increase fuel mileage.
Updating the PCM software also permits qualified
owners to apply for a higher federal income tax credit.
and no you will not loose any horsepower what so ever.
Don't worry about it just do what honda says.
