2002 4 cyl v-tec low power

Car will down shift at the smallest of hills. Seems to have low power. Gas millage is 21 -23 MPG. This is my fourth Honda and I expected around 30. I have put 100,000 miles on this car in 2 years. Ck engine off till 2 weeks ago. Code says misses on number 2 and 4 cylinders and random misses and v-tec issues. From a stop you can floor the gas pedal and it will make it to 6000 rpm and shift to second. 5 to 6000 goes slow. In second it falls on its face in that it only goes to 5000 and floats around to 5200 but will not shift up till you let up on the gas pedal. I put in new plugs, wires, cap , and rotor. Results no difference. What next??
Thanks for any help

how did you install wires, cap, rotor on a car that doesn't use any of those???. your car uses coil packs maybe those need replacements. as for the vtec remove the vtec solenoid and clean it as seen here http://www.civicforums.com/forums/11...e-up-mods.html please read this before you go getting your halogen lights refilled. http://www.aa1car.com/library/misfire.htm
