Default 91 accord main relay help

replaced plugs rotor and cap. main relay is intermittent on bench test, will that cause the engine to run rough. with fuel pressure gauge hooked up, sometimes it would not show pressure when the key was turned on after on/off cycles it would come on so i would think relay is bad. when it came on, the gauge said the pressure was good? i jumpered the 5 and 7tocheck fuel output and it wasa strong stream. any ideas as to what to check next? Itis running rough with no power. If it idles it goes up and down for a while and then dies. Checked tps and map sensor both were ok.Does the main relay send any info back to the computer that would affect the rough running condition.

Sounds like you already found the problem.

The main relay controls the voltage to the fuel pump, which if it loses voltage then a drop in fuel pressure will cause starting or idle problems.

Change the main relay, let us know if it corrected your issue.

I jumpered the fuel pump to make itand made it come on, the fuel pressure was 32 but it still ran rough. Does the main relay put any other signal to the computer?
