I have a 92 civic with a 95 del sol motor in it. I bought it that way and since the day i bought it the idle surges up and down at a stop. Though it sounds cool to high school kids who think its been super tuned or some thing..it is very embarrasing to me. When i bought it the guy told me it needed a tps and the check engine lights flash code says it is.I bought a brand new tps and installed it correctly..checking it numerous times with a ohms meter thinking i didnt get it right the first second third and so on times i took it off and double checked every thing...the car does the same thing...My question is..because some one mentioned it might be...because the car is a 92 with a 92 ecm and the engine is a 95 del sol...would the ecm from a del sol fix the problem or does it not matter engine to engine as long as they are both fuel injected? I dont know and dont want to buy a ecm if that isnt the problem...please help with any ideas or suggestions....thanks

 

Unplug your iacv when the idle is jumping around. If that fails chances are its your fitv.
