'93 Accord SE Speedometer Problem
Recently the speedometer on our old Accord starting registering about 15-20 mph lower than actual speed. I've looked at a parts list and found a speed sensor. Is that the likely cause?
The last time I dealt with a speed sensor problem was on a 1950 Ford Custom about 50 years ago. Back then there was a little plastic gear that went into the tranny. Different number of teeth would cause the speedo needle to show faster or slower. I expect things are quite different now. Is the speed sensor replacement something and old grey-haired geezer can get to and change? From the parts list, I couldn't tell where the assembly is located. Can anyone point me to a good diagram that will show where to find the unit that contains the speed sensor? TIA |
Welcome to the forum, I would suggest talking to a transmission tech they can most likely help with the speedo problem, coming from another geezer sir.

try the speed sensor, not hard to change. If you go to hondaautomotiveparts.com and or autozone.com and go to repairs it will a pic of where andhow to change.
