94 accord rpm drop

my friend's 94 accord (4 cylinder, automatic sedan) is having a problem
when she accelerates it cuts out at about 2500 rpm or so. it'll drop low, then pick back up and run normal. this happens at every stop and go situation.
I was thinking a air flow sensor, but I'm not failure with hondas.
Any ideas?

RE: 94 accord rpm drop

Aloha forwardtocharis: Wecome to the forum, hope some of us might be able to assist. if you think it is the airflow sensor, get some contact cleaner and clean if off first. Here a few more items to check. airfilter, fuel filter, timing, water in the fuel tank, cat clogged, fuel pump pressure low. Advise us what happens please. Thanks

RE: 94 accord rpm drop

I'll give those a try, my friend was driving her car yesterday and blew out a tire, taking out the passenger mirror and then it started overheating, so I'm going to have to wait a little bit because she took it to a shop to have those fixed.
oh well, I'll keep you updated when I have a chance to get under the hood.
