94 civic oil leak-axle seal?

Hello,
Im considering doing a RF axle seal for a friend. I have done a few on rear wheel drive cars but never FWD. Is it the same deal? Pull the axle, pop out the old seal, replace the seal and reinstall axle? Any special tools needed? Any tips? Thanks for the help!

Aloha mowntnbkr: welcome to the forum, and enjoy. the honda civic does not have a wet rear wheel drive axle. it has half shafts. might want to get a hanes or factory service manual first to determine if you want to handle this job. here is a site that may assist you. http://en-allexperts.com/q/Honda-Rep...eplacement.htm The 32mm nut to break loose is about 400ft lbs.
