Default 95 Civic Idle Problem

Hello,

I have a 1995 Honda Civic DX, it is an automatic (160k miles). It is having some problems while Idling. It seems to almost die or not idle smoothly, however it is intermittent. Car seems to be acting normally while driving.

What I've done to attempt to fix the problem:

Complete tune-up including fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap, rotor, and fuel injector cleaner. Also, needed to replace the ignition coil after car died while driving down the street. Didn't replace air filter (it seemed pretty clean). Any ideas would be appreciated.

Yours truly,
Troubled Civic Owner

Default

disconnect the plastic air housing to the throttle body, you will see
a coating of black filthy carbon stuck inside and on the back side of
your throttle valve clean it out using some throttle body cleaner and a toothbrush. and post back on results

Default Idle problem

Ok so I got a 96 civic that I swapped out with a d16z6 and manual trans. I've done everything from get a new Iacv and a fitv, clean the throttle body, bled the coolant system, checked all hoses for any vacuum leaks and the car still idles up and down after being warmed up. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance, Jake.
