96 Civic EX Key Remote Transmitters
HELP!! Neither of my Key Remote Transmittersare working on my 96 Civic EX. I've inserted new batteries in one of the remote transmitters just in case. Both remotes display a good brite red light when depressing the LOCK or UNLOCK buttons. I stood by the door and depressed the lock button 6 times, and no success.
What is the next thing I should check? Is a fuse often the culprit, or isit most likely the receiving unit (or whatever it's called) ? Where is the receiving unit (or whatever it's called)located?

RE: 96 Civic EX Key Remote Transmitters
Folks, Here is what I have found out so far.
- Previous owner installed an aftermarket car stereo (Alpine). Good car stereo, but on a 96-98 Civic - by removing the factory car stereo - you lose the source (valet button on the radio) to program you Keyless remote.
The Audiovox Prestige Pro 9230 Alarm system (which was installed by the Honda dealer upon purchase) has a valet button of it's own. Here is my question:
-- Is it possible to program the Honda Keyless remote with the Audiovox Prestige Pro Alarm system?
HELP!!!
