96 honda accord automatic tranny help

hi, i wanted to see if anybody could help me with my honda. I just got the transmission rebuilt with everything new in it. I put it on and it feels like my old one, but not as bad. It shifts kinda hard and when i'm coming to a complete stop it jerks kinda hard as well. My old transmission was doing the same but it was harder shifting. Is there something i have to adjust or something. My gas pedal is also hard. I also feel a big loss of power. My car won't respond like it used too. When i floor it, it doesn't pick up the same way it used to. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

RE: 96 honda accord automatic tranny help

Welcome to the forum, what type of transfluid is being used? Who installed the transmission? Did you check to see if there might be any type of kink or clamp holding the throttle line on to hard or crushed?

RE: 96 honda accord automatic tranny help

i used the special tranny fluid from honda. The bracket that holds the end of the cable on the transmission is bent. the cable stillgoes up and down it doesn't get stuck.could that be a problem, it seems to be working fine. I also loosened my throttle cable and now it gets a better responce. It feels like it downshifts now when i press on the throttle, unlike before.
