99 accord 2.3 ULEV VTEC engine code solutions
hows everyone doing... so i have a 99 accord 2.3L ULEV Vtec that has came up with the engine codes 1162, 1163, and 0420.... there are so many different solutions on the internet im trying to see if anyone knows where to start or a good point in the right direction... i know it has to deal with CAT and the 2 O2 sensors but never really good in that aspect... i know i did replace the lower 02 sensor not too long ago... never replaced the upper ever and vehicle has 134,000 miles on it... well thanks for any help you can provide...

welcome to the forum. Try this following site to assist you.
http://www.autotap.com/Articles/Cata...2_Sensors.html I have also read many sites of after market O2 sensors being exactly as honda's but after a short time, the engine light goes back on some last as long as 3 mos. short as a week, so cheaper but rework may be in line. |
it could be the fact that its a honda and they all throw check engine lights at some point that will never go away

welcome to the forums.. i have owned a lot of hondas and i have never had one just randomly throw a check engine light lol there has to be something wrong there.. i would say just try replacing the top O2 sensor and see what happens.. it cant hurt anything.
