ABS Pump for 07 Pilot - Does it Matter AWD/2wd?

I have a 2007 Pilot EX w/ 240k miles. The ABS Pump has failed. A new pump from a dealer is cost prohibitive and therefore I am shopping the Used Parts market. All the pumps I am finding state AWD. But my Pilot is 2wd. Does it matter? Can I use an AWD ABS pump on a 2wd Pilot? They look identical. Is there an electronic difference?

Thanks! GAPILOT-07

The ABS is the same for both.

New info

I have learned since posting the original thread that there are 2 different part numbers for the AWD pump and the 2wd pump. I don't know if they are different in function or capability or electronics, but there are 2 part numbers and 2 different prices at the dealer.

I suspect that in some way they are different and not interchangeable. They may fit on the same brackets, but there must be some difference.

Thanks!

You are calling the ABS unit 'PUMP'? You will want to get the correct ABS unit. The dump valves and pump internal to the unit are the same.
Electronics are different due to the wheel speed inputs.

Yes, I was calling it a pump but officially it is a "modulator unit assembly" or some such as that and includes the pump portion and the electronics box connected to it. Thanks!
