Default civic b18c clutch problems

i got a 96 civic w/ a b18c type r motor. my friend drove the car and grinded a few gears and messed up something in the transmission. sometimes i cant put the car into gear or switch gears. is this a schryncro problem or is the clutch not dissengaging. it feels like the clutch is still rubbing and not completely dissengaged. any answers?

Not sure I could tell you but sounds like a good excuse to start tearing her apart . Oh, and do NOT let the friend drive any manual vehicle ever again! lol. But, my guess would be synchros. Either way, it will be obvious once she's undone.

Inspect the clutch master cylinder pushrod to see if theres fluid around the rod.Maybe leaking. or the clutch and flywheelcould be junk.
