Default Climate control only blowing hot air - 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid

I have a 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid that started acting up today. Everything has been fine. My climate control was set to about 68 and I was comfortable. Today, as I left work, I noticed that the heater seemed to be blowing hotter than normal air. I figured it was adjusting the cabin, however it never seemed to start blowing lukewarm air. I lowered the climate control temperature in increments until I was at the lowest setting ("LO") at which point cool air started coming into the cabin. As soon as I turn the temperature setting above "LO", hot air begins to blow. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? I tried searching but wasn't really successful in finding any leads similar to this.

Also, AC was not on, fan was blowing, drive is over an hour so there was plenty of time for the system to stabilize.

Thanks in advance.
