Clutch Problem on a 91 Honda Civic
I have a stock 91 honda civic LX 4 dr with a 1.5, 5 Speed trans. I bought the car about 7 years ago and seen the clutch adjustment was maxed out. I took my car in to get it replaced and after getting it back I was still left with no adjustment.
About 6 months later I drove my car to Idaho to get the clutch and trans replaced. After this work was done I still had no adjustment left. I replaced the clutch cable shortly before getting the trans and clutch done. I had to get a nut, slice the nut down the side so it can be used as a spacer between the clutch cable adjuster and the mount it sits on so that I have adjustment.
After bolting the trans onto the engine we checked the play on the clutch arm without the cable attached and there was a bit over a inch play, doing the same thing as the old transmission.
I hope someone can help me
