dual point injection

hi, i have an 89 honda crx it is my first car and i love it. but somebody that had the car before me put a d16y7 in it. and i noticed it only had two fuel injectors. i looked around on the net but couldn't really find anything outabout it just that it was called dual point injection. so i was wondering if that is better or worse than a multi point fuel injection system. and if it is worse is there any way i can change it to multi point?

RE: dual point injection

A fuel injector is nothing but an electronically controlled valve. It is supplied with pressurized fuel by the fuel pump in your car, and it is capable of opening and closing many times per second. The honda accord fuel injectors are mounted in the intake manifold so that they spray fuel directly at the intake valves. A pipe called the fuel rail supplies pressurized fuel to all of the injectors..you can see three of the injectors, the fuel rail is the pipe on its left. In order to provide the right amount of fuel, the engine control unit is equipped with a whole lot of sensors.
