Honda Civic Dashboard Information Disappeared
I apologize if I am asking this in an incorrect section (or if I'm asking information incorrectly. Please excuse my boorish behavior).
I have a 2012 Honda Civic that was purchased new. My understanding is that it's 3 years, or 36,000 miles covered under the standard warranty. I am only a little past 20,000 miles (and I can't be certain at the moment because I can't find this information on my dashboard any longer). When I turned the car on yesterday, I noticed that all information that had numbers associated with it has disappeared. This includes:
- Mileage (Total, Trip A, Trip B)
- Fuel Range
- Average Fuel Consumption
- Oil Change Information
And when I say disappeared, I mean they're not even options on the screen anymore. I dropped the car off at the dealership to run a diagnostic this morning and even they seemed a little surprised at what I was experiencing with my car. They told me it would be a day if not more before I would get the car back.
My questions:
1. Anyone else experience this?
2. Anything I should be prepared for as far as "unexpected" costs are concerned? It should be covered under the 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty, but I've also had some random costs creep up at certain dealerships.
3. What should I be aware of that I may not be thinking of right now as far as this issue is concerned?
Your thoughts/help/advice is appreciated.
