Little Heat
My 2006 Accord may idle for a half hour as temp gauge moves to where it should be. However little or no heat comes out of vents until you raise the rpms. Could it be a sign of a water pump becoming worn out?

it depends on how cold it is outside if your on the east coast rite now its way to cold to idle you need to drive the car to get it up to temp idling in a newer car is a no no. otherwise it could possibly be an air bubble in the system yes or it could be low engine coolant. when you idle do you turn the heat on or keep it off because you shouldn't turn the heat on. if the car is fully warmed up and the heat stops when the car stops then its most definitely air trapped in the system if the coolant is full.

Whats a good way to purge the air bubble?

jack the front of the car up take the radiator cap off then start the car make sure the heat is on the full position leave the fan off. you should see bubbles coming out the radiator then when the bubbles stop and it starts to overflow put the radiator cap back on. also make sure the radiator cap is in good condition. side note only do this with a completely cold engine.

Thanks Lowlife9.

no problem if this doesn't fix the problem and later down the road it happens again then it could be a larger problem like a hole in the cooling system or a bad head gaskit letting air into the cooling system so keep an eye on it.
