What are some of the most common parts that need to be replaced?

Besides all of the commonly replaced routine maintenance parts like spark plugs, wires, water pump, timing belt/chain, etc, Hondas are generally pretty bullet proof and do not require replacement of unorthodox parts. Sadly, Hondas of recent vintage seem to be plagued with more issues than the models of yore.

For example, newer Civics seem to experience squeaky clutch pedals that stem from the slave cylinder (some people have indicated that the clutch pipe is the problem, as illustrated as ref#20 in this diagram). Additionally, these models have warped sunroof panels, rattles in interior panels and rocking/swaying seats. Granted that these are minor quibbles when compared to the potentially catastrophic engine issues that other car makers have with their models, one can't help but feel a bit disheartened at this tangible slip in build quality that a good number of modern Hondas exhibit.

With that said, just be diligent about proactive maintenance and you should be okay :)

We have several Hondas in the family and I have not heard of any issues like this :confused:,My brother in law bought a 2012 Accord Crosstour and absolutely loves it. We also have a 2009 Pilot and a 2010 Ridgeline in the family,no issues.

Well this issue is new to me too. never ever heard of this before.
I will be looking out for answers too..
