Default Is my car flooded?

After coming back from vacation, found very wet carpets inside my 2008 Honda Civic Hydrid in garage, and water drops in tail pipe, but the engine compartment looks completely dry. Engine oil dipstick and transmission fluid dipstick are also free of water. The high water mark in the car may be just above the edge of the passenger compartment (so I suppose water seeps in from there). Can I try starting the engine?

without knowing exactly how high the water was, for peace of mind you might want to drain the engine oil and see if any water at the bottom of the pan, if none there should be none in the trans also. make sure the oil level is not higher than before you left for vacation.
