Default my car wont accelerate

my car wont accelerate! i have a 94 Accord with non V-tech engine automatic transsmision... pls help whats the problem of my car.
heres the story.
one day when im going home my car suddenly wont accelerate even i step on the gas real hard, only my RPM goes up. then the dashboard battery lights up. i dont have a choice so i tow it back to my home. the next morning i check under the hood i notice that my Coolant was OUT!!! (NO Coolant at ALL) i wonder why because i just put a coolant on i last 3 days ago... then i put some coolant again... i figured out that my battery is dead & the alternator is bad so i change it to a new one! so finaly my car runs again then something happend my car wont accelerate!!! it starts up like the KA CHING CHING thing and sounds great! when i start to accelerate it runs good but when it goes to 35 MPH it goes down until my car stop(engine still runing like there is no problem) then i noticed that when i turn OFF the engine and wait for like 3 to 5 minutes it will start and runs again. its like if the engine cools it will run again and will stop.

note: right now there is NO light on my dashboard! pls help what should i do!

Default RE: my car wont accelerate

welcome to the forum. first thing is to make sure your coolant remains in the cooling system and find and seal the leak, once you have sealed the cooling system good, bleed out all the air in the system at the bleed valve.get yourself a service manual to assist you, or go to autozone.com and register for free, they have parts and repair info on their site. also a location section to locate the air bleed for the cooling system. after you have accomplished this, we can go to the next step if this does not cure the no accelerate problem.
