need help with my crx please
ok heres the deal, i just bought 3 honda crx's, all 3 are 1985 and are the older style, i want to convert it to the newer style headlights and hood and everything which does not seem to be a big problem, but what im wondering is if anyone knows if the struts are different i see online lowering spings for the 88-90 versions but would they work on my version as well, any input on this or anything that may be helpful in this conversion that im doing please let me know thanks

RE: need help with my crx please
What are you looking to convert? Just the looks of the front end? Such as headlights, grille, hood, bumper and whatnot? or are you looking into engine/brakes/tranny/suspensiontoo?
I havent done a CRX front end swap, but I know for Jetta and Golfs for example, you can swap front ends by just switching out fender, hood, radiator support and all that good stuff. No suspension modification is needed. Much like an acura integra and civic front end.

yeah i am wanting the newer style look but im planning on like an acura motor swap, but i am leaving the suspenison crx and just upgrading it, but mainly just the hood fenders and lights, thanks for helping me, i was thinking that it should be pretty simple if i had the hood fenders and lights to just convert it over but ididnt want to spend all that money and it not be possible

Not a problem. Like I said, as long as body style is similar, it usually is a bolt on application and there isnt much modding needed. Sometimes you can even call a local honda dealership and they can give you a better idea on compatibility. You will probably need to replace your radiator support also. This is the housing your headlights mount onto and will attach to your new fenders. Its like the skeleton to the front of your CRX. What motor are you looking at? I know the Acura Integra GSR (b18) is probably one of the most popular swaps. Might need to move some engine mounts though. I know it fits nicely in a 92-95 civic, but i cant imagine the engine bays are that much different for the CRX.
