Odyssey shifting lurch
 

Greetings. I have a 2015 Odyssey EX-L with 132k miles.

for the last 15-20k miles or so we will have INTERMITTENT rough shifting. The symptom occurs whether shifting up or down and occurs with any shift, meaning 1-2, 2-3… 3-2, 2-1 etc.

As the RPM approach a level to prompt shifting there will be a brief rev of RPM with no vehicle acceleration followed by a very rough lurch as the transmission changes gears. It will the accelerate through the next gear and then repeat the rev, lurch, shift cycle. When I slow down the pattern is the same only in reverse.

This will occur maybe 1 day in 14 or less frequently than that. It is not consistently present. It happens whether we are accelerating quickly or slowly. Occurrences are seemingly random.

10k miles ago we had a transmission service that did not fix the problem and did not identify anything wrong. About the same time we replaced all spark plugs with no improvement. All factory recommended maintenance has been done more or less on time.

any ideas?

welcome to the forum. When the transmission fluid was changed, do you know if the shop used Honda trans fluid. ( if done at Honda Dealership, Proper trans fluid was used).
