Oil consumption

I have a 2000 honda civic si, the problem is that it burns a **** load of oil, i have to put in a quart every week, and thats including that i drive under 4000 rpm but i do travel like close to 200 miles a week, but that is still too much oil being burned, etc. First i thought it might be the rings, I did a compression test and it came out to 210, 180, 210, 210, thats why i thought it might be rings, but i did a wet test on two of them and they both went up by 30, so its like 240, 210, etc. They all went up by 30 so im wondering if its the rings, any ideas? I dont want to spend money machining the block if its not needed.

Need some questions answered to get a better view of the problem.

What is the mileage on your car?

Is there any visible oil leaks under your car?

Is there alot of oil stains on the end of your muffler?

Is there a black cloud when you first start up your car or accelerating?

Well the mileage is high, i think its around 180,000 miles, There are no visible leaks or puddles of oil. Sometimes when the car starts its shoots out very small traces of oil i beleive or could be water from the muffler not sure. but other than that when i start my car there really isnt a black smog or anything like that, but i've been told that when i hit vtech for a they said that there was alot of smoke. Not quite sure if its natural or not cuz i didnt quite see it. Any Ideas?

I have a similar problem. '00 Si, just changed my oil 4 weeks ago. checked it today and the dipstick was dry. It smokes at hi rpm too. I know it doesn't leak, I already took care of those. A guy I work with said he changed the rings in his 99 integra that was doing the same thing and now it doesn't burn anymore, but like you I want to do a bit of research before I go tearing into it. What did you find out?

Pull a spark plug and see if it is covered in oil.
