Please HELP! Weird startup problem

Hi guys, ive been experiencing a strange problem intermittently when i start up my 2004 accord coupehttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2_bing.gif 2.4 litre with an auto trans. When i startup it seems as if the engine is misfiring or only half the cylinders have ignited and the front of the car shakes and the idle is very low from usually in the 1500's to the low 500's. Now if hit the accelerator the engine returns to normal and is fine for the rest of the day. I just had the spark plugs replaced and the starter changed, which was going bad. Can anyone please tell me what might cause this issue.

welcome to the forum, it may be your fuel injectors being dirty, or throttle body need cleaning, or idle control valve sticking.

how much does it usually cost to have the throttle body cleaned? is it a simple job that i can do myself or is it a job left for the mechanics?

Lmao. clean it yourself... its easy.... u might wanna remove it for best results...

Did this problem occur before the plugs were changed or after the plugs where changed?

thanx for responding, the problem occurred before and continues to occur now that i have changed the spark plugs. I ran some fuel injector cleaners such as lucus and techron and have noticed some improvement in overall performance and fuel consumption, but the problem occurs very rarly but still does occur, usually on a cold start up after sitting overnight, but it is not limited to only those time periods, any response is welcome thanx.

I was thinking maybe some moisture between the coil and plugs.

Hope this help :)
