Having problem with what seems to befactory revlimiter ,Installed cams, msd sci ignition , blaster 3 coil on 95 integra v-tech with 8500 rev limiter in chip in the msd, but still shuts down at factory 8000rpm.when I install a lower than 8000 chip in the msd it is limited at that chips limit and works fine want to run 8900 chip but cant break the 8000rpm thought ignition upgrade bypassed factory rev limiter, this is on my friends car what did we miss .

 

I dont know the specific fix for your problem but I have some hearsay on a generic fix. A friend of mine supposively had a similar issue. He said while driving he would rev up to the rev limiter, after it kicks on, he would wait until he could throttle it again and hit the same RPM. He said after doing it 4 or 5 times it "burnt out". I dont know how fun that is on the motor, or if it has any validity whatsoever, its just what he said worked. If you find a worthwhile solution, fill us in! Good luck.
