rought take off

Default rought take off

just got a 1991 honda civic lx and the timing belt went out and after i changed the timing belt and the water pump a new problem started when i take off it boggs out and when i shift it to second gear it starts to jerk real bad someone told me it cold be the throttle cable so i changed it but no success and the only way i can make it stop doing that i have to put my foot almost all the way to the floor if anyone has any suggestions it would be a great help

welcome to the forum. did you bleed your water system, air in the system may cause this. If you go to Autozone.com. and sign in for free, go to repairs and it will show you where to bleed the air out, and the causes if you have air in the water system.

Did you verify that the timing marks line up after the new belt was installed?

Sounds like a cam might be off a tooth.
