Ruff idle and hesitation
 

Ok here is the dillio. I have a 2000 civic ex 5 speed and today on my way home from work my check engine light kicked on. Normally I wouldn't think much of this but the motor when not under a lot of load started to buck like there is a hesitation and it will continue to do this for a while and then be fine and then it will come back again. It's also very apparent when pulling out like your a newbie to traving a standard. If you accelerate hard it doesn't hesitate or anything. When coming to a stop sign or light the idle will bounce back and forth from just under 1k to 2k. While parked in the drive way the idle sits around 1500 and bounces just slightly. If you stand outside the car you can hear it chug back and forth back at the exhaust. Any idea of what this could be? Dirty Maf, O2 sensor?

What might your milage be? It may need a minor tune up, spark plug, wires, distributor, fuel injector cleaner, fuel filter, airfilter.throttle sense. check,clean or replace as needed.

Right around 120K. It seems as though a lot of people have had problems with their o2 sensors but I haven't really heard of anyones jerking.

most of the honda's that have a bad O2 sensor, the need maintenance light goes on, not the(maintenance reminder ) You might go to a parts house that does the code check for free to help find the problem.
