Hi I am new to this forum. I have a tech question regarding a 1996 honda civic ex with 5 speed manual. The car is unable to shift and engage into 4th gear. Does this sound like a possible bent shift fork? Any advice as to diagnosing the problem. The car's cruse control doesn't work. The light on dash and switch are light but the car won't maintain speed. Thanks for any help you could give me.

 

welcome to the forum. possible cause for no shift into 4th transfluid may need change if not done for a while, shift linkage out of adjust at shifter, cable for shifter rusted or damaged.
cruise control check for blown fuse, cable damage, out of adjustment.
