Vibration

Hey, I drive a 96 5-speed Honda Accord and it seems that when i accelerate, at times there is this sound of vibration coming from under the car. It only lasts for a few seconds and then it goes away as i go quicker. it typically happens at lower RPMs. anybody have any ideas what it may be? I will be looking under the car soon to see if there may be any loose pieces vibrating, but i dont know if that is exactly the problem. any help would be great, thanks in advance.

welcome to the forum ObeyAccordingly: enjoy your stay, hope we might be able to assist you. check your catalitic converter, and the shroud around it, gets loose and rattles. Also if the converter breaks down inside, it will rattle inside.

Sounds like you have a half-shaft coming apart. Maybe the CV joint. If its rear wheel drive...stop driving it and plan on replacing the front U-joint. If you dont you could possibly roll it over. Have this checked out immediately. Good luck.
