Warning Lights and Surges

I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey that is having issues. The battery light is on consistently. From time to time the A/C fan will surge for a second, drop back down, surge again, then go back to normal. Occasionally all of the warning lights will flash while driving as well. This all started at the same time.

I took the van to Advance where they tested the battery and charging system. All were fine. The employee told me the battery was a little low, and could use a slow charge, but was otherwise fine.

Has anyone else had this issue or know what the problem might be? Looking for some suggestions before I have to take it to a shop and have it checked out.

Welcome in,it's possible you have a bad cell in the battery and with the Advance guy saying it needed a charge sounds to me like that's exactly the problem.have someone else check the battery with a load on it,or take a battery from another vehicle you know is fine and run it for a few days to see it that is indeed the problem.

Did we already do it?

Thank you. He did check it with a load on it. He had me idle, then rev up to 2000rpm for 5 seconds, then idle, then turn on high beams and heat on blast, then rev again, then idle. Is that what you are talking about?

load test on a battery is having a tool that will place a heavy load on the battery itself to see how low the charge goes. the tool has a good size resistor that heats up as the load test is being applied to your battery. nothing to running the car and putting on the the lights etc. this load test checks to see if you have any bad cells.
