Default '03 Accord CD Changer is Stuck

My sister put a CD in my 6 CD changer over vacation that may or may not have had a sticker label. Now none of my CD's will eject. When I press eject, I hear a clicking/whirring noise. Then an error message pops up, and my CD's rotate around if I turn the CD function back on. To get the CD's to play again, I have to stuck my garage pass in the desk and push the CD. If anyone has any suggestions or tips to get it unstuck, I'd appreciate it. The dealership said they'd charge a $99 diagnostic fee to see what was wrong, and that they might have to send my unit off to Honda--both of which are ridiculous!!

$99 to just look at.. ouch..
you can either try to take it apart and fix it yourself.
worse comes to worse it gives you an excuse to buy a new head unit with a usb connector to attach either your mp3 player or a flash drive.

my 2 cents

Thanks for your reply. I really love my CD changer and my Honda deck. I just think to pay over $100 to have a CD removed is ridiculous.

1 cd has around 15 tracks avg cd changer has 3 to 12 cd totaling 45 to 180 songs
1 4gig flash drive (est 5mg a song) can hold 800 songs with no delay and no skips.

i'll stick with my clarian deck with my flash drive.

my other few cents.

my old head unit was a panasonic. really nice but it died on me. prob because my vw was really rough after i did the cams, full flow cat and exhaust. it played regular audio cds fine but it was a bit touchy with my mp3 cds. the unit didn't have a aux in or usb. the insertion mech must have broken when i accidently jammped the cd in when i hit a bump..

the only conservitive looking one besides the panasonic (the company no longer makes car stereo) was the clarian unit i have now. has both a aux audio in as well as a usb for flash drives/mp3 players including the **** ipods.
