I have been searching on the internet for an hour and haven't found why my radio is doing what it is. The radio has been going out intermittently for almost a year and I never really considered it a big problem because generally if you turned the car off-then on again it would come back on. However, it wouldn't yesterday. I checked the interior fuse to find it blown, so I went to change it. The static build up, or whatever the problem is blew the fuse before I could even put it in. Disconnected the battery and tried again. The fuse blew as I reconnected the battery. Tried again, and it blew a third fuse. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

 

Well, I fixed the problem. It turns out that one of my kids decided my CD player was a nice slot for a dime and proceeded to place the dime in the radio there by shorting the fuse. I am glad that the fuse is all that the problem was, otherwise this would have been a more costly and more of a headache than it was.
