1999 Honda Accord climate control problems

Hello Everyone,

I am new here, so please bear with me as I get everything figured out.

I drive a 1999 Honda Accord EX sedan and I have been having climate control issues for the past few months. All of a sudden, my climate controls stopped working. The only thing I could control was the fan speed. I could not control the temperature of the air, whether or not the air was pointed towards head or feet, or turn the A/C or defroster on. Usually there is a light above one of the buttons indicating what setting is selected(head, feet, defrost, etc), but none of the lights were on. Then I would drive for a few hours, the light would turn back on and my controls would work again. This has happened on and off for the past couple months...and getting progressively worse. One time the controls stopped working for a solid 3 days...then mysteriously turned back on. I have tried searching around to see if others had this problem, but no such luck.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone offer any advice as to what it could be?

Hi, I have the same exact problem with my 2000 Accord. So, I am wondering whether you were able to figure out the issue.

Sounds like a loose wire or ground issue,I had this problem on my Vette years ago and tracked it down to a loose body ground.
