RE: 2004 Accord Console
Does any of your other interior lights work such as glove box light, shifter light, instrument cluster????
Check #4, #6 and # 7 fuses in the fusebox underneath the dashboard. These fuses feed the relay module and some interior lights as well.

RE: 2004 Accord Console
When you purchased this car, did you get the owners manual and all the paperwork with it? there was/is a small card with the radio code on it, this code will reset your radio. Check in the owners manual and it may advise you as to how to do it. If you did not, you will have to go to Honda to get the code reset, and this time, watch them on how they do it and get the code. you may have to replace the batt in the future, and will need the code again.

RE: 2004 Accord Console
The radio error is probably caused by the missing code as ACmech52 has mentioned, but you did not answer my initial question to help you further diagnose.

If it is just the radio illumination that is the problem. It could be just a loose plug in the back of the radio unit or headlight (aka combination switch) switch or brightness controller or at worse a defective radio unit.
Is car under warranty since it is a 2004? 3 years or 36,000 miles....
Was the car ever in an accident, because the service manual also says to check for voltage between terminal 9 and 20 for 12V and 0-9V on terminals 19 and 20 for brightness control.

RE: 2004 Accord Console
Dear All,
Sorry i'm newbie here....This question may have posted before.
Does anyone know where to buy audio console kit for Honda Accord 2.0A JDM?
See below link that i manage to find in the net:
http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/sh...ermarket+Radio
I really like my pioneer HU to be mounted on top rather than somewhere difficult to access.
Or do you want to share with me your nice setup without the "kit" i have mentioned.
Appreciate that anyone can help.
