2008 Civic Alarm - Need to deactivate
 

I'll try to make this long story short. The alarm in my 2008 Civic goes off whenever I start the car, turn off the car, or open the hood. I can't deactivate the alarm using the door key (I'm told turning the key left and right in the door lock works) because my key won't turn in the lock. I disconnected the hood latch connection - still goes off. I removed the horn fuse (the alarm goes off without the horn) but it locks the gear shift. (The reset for the gear shift only works if you hold it down while you're driving).

Any ideas how to deactivate the alarm?
