I have a 2012 Accord LX with the 2.4L I4. It keeps going through VTC actuators left and right. This will be its 5th in the last 30k miles. They start making a horrible noise at start up. While it does see its fair share of abuse, I think it's kind of unreasonable that these have to be swapped out every 3-6000 miles. In the time I've been through 5 of these, I've only had one other 1 other mechanical issue with the car. Could there be something else malfunctioning causing the VTC to malfunction? Has anybody experienced the same thing and found a fix for it? Don't think I'm bashing Honda or anything, I love everything else about the car. It's just getting old replacing these VTC actuators...
