2013 Accord Interior Illumination

Has anyone out the figured out how to toggle on and off the dealer-installed interior illumination (08E10-T2A-100A). As installed, lighting is tied to overall lighting scheme. I would like to not have it on all the time at night.

Thanks,

Lance

bypass the wires with a toggle switch its not rocket science. also that part number you gave says that it already has a on off switch so i don't understand what the problem is.

That is what I thought; however, the fine print of the description says "includes on/off feature". I guess that feature is different than switch.

At the end of the installation instructions is the following:

HOW TO OPERATE
• With the light switch set to the parking lights or on position, the ambient lights are on.
• When the headlight switch is in the “AUTO” position, the ambient lights are on with the parking lights or headlights.
• If the ambient lights do not come on, check the fuse and all the connectors.

Ambient Lighting

I installed the Ambient Lighting kit in my 2013 Honda Accord Coupe and I could not find the vehicle plug, however I found a plug on the green assembly with the mating recepticle so I pludded it into it but the lights do not work. Is there a switch that I am supposed to have to be able to turn this kit on and off and is this connector the right one to be used the one they refer to isn't present on my car?

You can just add a kill switch/toggle switch to turn it on and off whenever u want and connect it to a 12v ignition source i beleive.

So his only option is to add a big ugly or small ugly toggle switch to his brand new ride? That sucks!!! Go to the dealership check other options.
