Default 2014 Accord LX 2.4L

I had to replace a shorted out alternator which also fried the PCM. I was told this is a common occurrence on these cars. I had the old PCM checked and it was dead. Purchased new PCM from Honda. Installed it and followed the procedures to write the VIN to the PCM and register the Immobilizer data to PCM. Writing the VIN to PCM completed fine but the routing for transferring the immobilizer data to PCM did not work. Two difference diagnostic scanners were used, one was Snap On and still had problems. The flashing key symbol continued to appear on dash. I was told that I most probably have to get Honda to perform this programming. Anyone have this problem?

If you have the proper software and pass through devise it should work. When it fails it should tell you why.
