2015/2016 Accord Hybrid questions
I have been a civic owner forever never any hybrids but after test driving the 2015 accord hybrid touring I was sold. My concerns are that if I should just wait for the 2016 refresh which may include a tad better fuel economy and the possibility of modifications to suspension, interior and exterior as well as color selection.
Right now, the dealers I am working with are discounting the 2015. My civic's have the Crimson Pearl color and in my opinion nothing comes close to it with a nice coat of wax. They have the Black and White Pearl color which glimmer, with some other choices, like the Obsidian Blue which just does not work for me!! Should I wait for the minor updates or go for the deal on the current 2015? I think I can get at least 2k off with more discounts from the dealer. What is the main difference between the CVT and E-CVT? I know the CVT cannot use ATF-DM1 fluid but the E-CVT can? Is the E-CVT time tested over the standard Honda automatic transmission? The battery is not the deal killer for me because I can get a new one if needed after 100k at a wholesale price of 2K after returning the core. I believe the batteries are doing well over 100k as far as I know. What kills me is they give you 6 years 60K miles but EPA says they have to give you 9 years 100K in Illinois. Hyundai gives you lifetime on the Lithium battery. I have to scratch my head on that one!! Sorry about asking too many questions in one post rather than spreading it out some. Thanks Edited 6-29-2015: I could not wait until Next April for the 2016/17 Accord Hybrid so I bough t the 2015 touring model. I got it for $30,142. I added the Honda care 96/120K and The Protector Paint Shield since I have had nothing but the best luck with it for my 2012 and both 2013 Honda Civic EXL with Nav. I traded my 2013 for 13,100 with 53K miles a wash since my Honda Finance payoff was $13,083. This car is unreal and I am getting better gas mileage than what the EPA has posted if I drive like a grandma. . Averages 48 almost all the time if I drive normal and if I drive it no more than 60MPH I get close to 50/53mpg. |
