2017 Accord ABS idiot lights

Hello, DTW927 here, WA state. New member..

I had an issue last year that you might not be aware of. Skidded on snow to a stop last winter and the ABS activated. Worked OK. When I went to pull out, the ABS activated (can fell the vibration) again, and that seemed strange. The ABS dash light came on, then the traction control and steering lights illuminated. Looked up the symptons and said there was a ABS computer fault, pressure switch. Meanwhile, the ABS, steering control and traction control are disabled when the dash lights are on, but the car still runs OK (not a fatal fault). I sent the computer and valve body out to diagnose the ABS unit, and came back OK, no faults. Did my own scan and it said it had a permanent fault and you can't reset the dash light and error code with a scanner. Sure enough, true. I read somewhere that the ABS will self-correct given sufficient miles were driven without another fault. So I waited for about 6 months of normal driving and the dash lights went out by themselves. After about 1K to 2K miles. All clear now, everything works as designed.

Good luck with your project, if any.
