Default 2023 Honda Accord EX

I recently purchased a new 2023 Honda Accord and am loving it so far. However, I am receiving a message when I turn off my car that there is a 'system update' and that I should refer to my manual for more information. I've looked through the manual, looked on google and various Honda sites, but cannot find anything related to the 2023 Honda Accord EX. I downloaded Hondalink, but when I try to download the updates, it just tells me that the updates could not be completed.

I'm getting very frustrated at the complete lack of information regarding how to perform a system update. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Did you talk to the dealer?

Yup. I was told that "normally that has to be done at the dealer". I'm not satisfied by that answer though. I've only had the car 2 months as it is, so how often exactly do I need to go back to my dealer? It strikes me as a ploy to get me to bring my car back regularly more than a true answer, so I wanted to see what other 2023 Honda owners are doing. I expect this is something that most, if not all, 2023 model owners have to deal with. FWIW- My Hondalink app does actually have an option to download and install system updates, but it is not working for some reason. The fact that the option on the app even exists though gives me hope that I'm simply missing a way for me to do it myself.

If you don't want the dealer to do it you can always buy the tool and get the subscription to do the update yourself.
