6 Actuators Replaced
I've had my 2016 accord since December 2015. Since that time I've had to have the door actuator replaced 6 TIMES in different doors. Anyone else having an issue with this part?!

welcome to the forum. did you purchase your accord from a Honda dealership. first time I have heard of 6 actuators being changed on different doors. sounds like the car was in a flood someplace in the past prior to your purchase.

I got it from a dealership... Nobody can answer why this is happening. Three were replaced, then a few months back Honda agreed to pay for one they had already replaced because it failed again. Yesterday two more door locks wouldn't work, front/back passenger side, and they dealership is again working with Honda to see if they will pay. They've already had to replace the computer so I'm wondering if it's whatever they actuators are wired to? Forgive me for knowing very little about any of this.

Honda normally does not put out parts on their cars that fail that much. something is causing the units to fail, they need to find it or it will continue to fail in the future. if you can find someone who is able to pop open your door panels to view if the car might have been in a flood. door locks failure is rare, it does happen but not like yours. I have had 6 Honda's and only one drivers door lock failure.

I completely agree with you, I've only owned Honda. I requested the service history to confirm I'm not crazy.
On my 2016 Accord, purchased new, the dealer has replaced the computer, the blower, and six door actuators. Fortunately they've paid for all of it because I've never taken the car anywhere else, but nobody can give me a solution for the door locks. Fortunately the computer and blower are now working. |
