Hello all,

New here, so please bear with me. My parents bought me an '87 Honda Accord LX a couple of years ago, and while we've been trying to fix it up, we've had issues locating parts. Specifically, Honda has discontinued many of the parts for that year, including the sending unit for the fuel tank. It's separate from the fuel pump, and everything I've seen online either has the attached fuel pump or is not the right model of part I need. I've tried junk/scrap yards, speciality shops, etc. but to no avail. They are either rusted all to hell or don't work. We ended up trying to modify a sending unit from a different model (my dad has been rebuilding parts for years), but in the end it didn't work either.

I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy one, or if anyone had a parts car laying around that they wouldn't mind selling me the (working) sending unit from?

welcome to the forum. try salvage yards, if you go to google and type in 87 accord fuel sending unit, you may find a few salvage yards that may have what your looking for.
