93 honda accord. transmission issues.

So I've got a 93 honda accord SE, with an automatic transmission and 120,000 miles on it. It's a great little car and is in good condition, I have no complaints or weirdness going on except for this one issue.

Twice now, I have started my car, then realised i needed to take the radio face plate out of my locked glovebox. I turn the car off, open the glovebox with the key and try and restart the car. This is where things get wierd. When i try and start the car, the "park" light comes on and the "drive, 4th gear" light flashes on and off. If crank the engine it will crank, but will not start. After turning the car off, and waiting 30 seconds or so while praying to the car gods, I can restart the car and it drives fine (its definately a time thing not just turning it off and back on, i have to wait for it to go away). No difficulties shifting, no crazy revving like the transmission is in limp home mode or anything. I just went to a mechanic to have my 120,000 mile service, and they had never heard of such a thing happening, and were unable to reproduce the issue.

Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Is my transmission going to die? I'd really like it to last another 120,000 miles...

RE: 93 honda accord. transmission issues.

sounds like computer problems, not transmission problems
