95 accord wont start oil light on

i recently purchased a 95 accord 2.2 non vtech the oil light was on when i got the car and the guy said that it was the oil pressure switch so i am driving the car home and it cuts off on me no strange noises or anything. now the starter will turn but the engine is not firing i am getting fuel to the rail i opened up the valve and gas came out havent checked to see if there is spark yet but i dont think that is the problem could the oil presssure switch being bad cause the car to not start or maybe the oil pump is bad or the pickup tube is clogged if so how do i check this out?

welcome to the forum. check the oil pressure switch for cause of the problem. I take it there is good oil in the engine. if the light was on and the oil is full, the switch may have something to do with the no start. Also check the timing, the belt condition, and check to see if you have spark since you know you have fuel.

okay so i go to check for spark and find out that the plugs are drenched in oil, so i know that i gotta change the seals. but now im not getting any spark from the distributor. does that mean that it is bad or can somthing else cause the distributor to not throw spark?

Nope, that is a common probably with old Hondas. Distributer almost always fails around that year of the car. New Distributor will fix that.
