97 Honda Accord running hot

I have a 97 Honda accord. We just bought it in February. It has ran fine until it got hot outside. In the morning it drives fine its about 50 to 60 degress or less. When it hits around 70 the car wants to run hot. The temperature gauge is on H. When driving it seems to go down but when stopped it gets worse. The coolant, water and oil levels all seem fine. When we bought the car it had a fuse for the cooling fan missing and we went out and bought it. When we turn off the car we can hear the fan running and it continues like this after we drive it and turn it off you can still hear it. The check engine like is on for multiple things such as gas cap, solenoids ect. My husband crawled under neath it last night and noticed that a black rubber like pipe had came out some and there was a thick black substance leaking out. He was not sure if this was oil or transmission fluid or something else. Any ideas as to what this could be?

Kinda sounds like you may have some fluids mixing in the motor or the fluids weren't flushed at the right intervals. When did you last have your coolant exchanged? Since it's a 97 i'd imagine that you changed the hoses... right? Can you post a few pictures?

welcome to the forum. car running hot could be from the fan motor is out, or the thermostate that runs the fan is no good. if the fuse was removed due to the fan continues to run after shut down, then the thermostate switch is keeping the fan running, and the fan motor is good.
